API and methodology
What status.tw is
status.tw records publicly reachable Teeworlds servers and derives statistics from them about servers, maps, game types, clans and player names.
It is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by the Teeworlds project or the DDNet project.
Teeworlds is the game itself, DDNet its best known fork. Servers of both kinds are covered here, which is why they appear together.
What is covered
Every Teeworlds and DDNet server that is publicly reachable is recorded automatically. Nothing is submitted to us, and there is nothing to sign up for: a server appears as soon as it is reachable and disappears when it stops being.

What "online" means
A server is online here if it answered during the most recent crawl, which is at most a minute old. A server behind a firewall, or a private one, does not exist as far as this site is concerned.
Player counts, names, clan tags, scores and away flags are all self-reported by the server. A server can report whatever it likes, and some do. We show what was reported.
Live data and history
Anything labelled online or right now is the current crawl and changes every minute. Charts, uptime, heatmaps and averages are history, computed over fixed windows of the last 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days.
The server of the week averages player counts over a 7 day window and only ranks servers with enough samples in it, so a server that was up for an hour cannot outrank one that was up all week.
Using the API
Programmatic access needs an API token. Create one in your account and send it in the Authorization header; the session tokens the website signs you in with are not a substitute and must not be used for it. Tokens cost nothing. Independently of that, a limit of 100 requests a minute per IP address applies across all public endpoints.
If you build on this data, the terms ask you to credit status.tw visibly and to link back wherever a link is possible.
Webhooks are available for server and master ban events, if you would rather be told than poll.
